Hey Fashionistas!!!!So a couple weeks ago in my fashion merchandising class, our assignment was to make a costume design for a movie genre and to make the dress out of anything we wanted. The movie genre I picked was Sci-Fi. I imagined that my dress would be a cool prom dress for a Sci-Fi movie. So I decided to make my dress, out of newspaper. It wasn't an easy task. First, I had to find newspaper and glue the layers of newspaper together. Then, I mixed paint colors to make the pink color to paint on the newspaper. After the paint dried, I tape the edges with duct tape to give the dress a finished look. Then, I fitted the dress to my model (my little sister). I made the dress to have one shoulder strap and a fitted waist line.
Overall, I loved this project and the dress! On the waist line, there is a little flower made out of newspaper.
